The heart of a problem can be technical: A solution based on a standard injection moulding machine and mould may result in the utilization of expensive mould varieties with many slides and/or moving parts. FOMA has turned this around. By developing an innovative machine concept with clamping units opening in multiple directions, complex moulds can be avoided and product variations can be manufactured at much lower mould costs, which results in a lower price-per-product.

The heart of a problem can be financial: During the introduction of a new product many things are uncertain and funds are limited. Calculations may show that investing in new equipment is not cost-effective. At this point, Foma can offer the possibility of using second-hand equipment to reduce the investment, but still have the possibility of upgrading the equipment to the requirements of the customer and the particular product.
